I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Jason Burdick's lab at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). I'm interested in using biomaterials to study cardiac and skeletal muscle regeneration after heart attacks or traumatic injuries. My stay at UPenn is funded by a research fellowship from the German Research Foundation. I obtained my Ph.D. in medical biotechnology (summa cum laude) from the Technical University of Berlin, a M.Sc. in advanced materials and processes from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, and a B.S. in metallurgy and materials science from GIK Institute in Pakistan.
